We haven't been dancing for a few years now. We keep meaning to restart but keep looking to find a dance club that suits our needs.
Ballroom is great fun, excellent exercise, a good way to meet new friends as it's naturally sociable. It's improved its image since the success of Strictly Come Dancing. A lot of men are still put off, but give it a go. Often it's the men who start off reluctant men that become more enthusiastic than their partners.
A few years ago, the dance school went to left no time for practice and didn't have many socials. So one May my wife and I organized our own dance at the Masonic Hall, in Ashton under Lyne. Following it's success we organized another in the November.
