Janet is the first cloth art doll I made. I used a Jan Horrox pattern (Miranda) in her excellent book, An Introduction to Making Cloth Dolls. This book has several patterns for cloth art dolls using different construction techniques. Jan provides clear instructions with good photos to explain each stage.

Janet is made from cotton fabric. She is a very simple doll with a flat face with features created using watercolour pencils. She has button-jointed legs and arms.
She was a great first doll as she has mitten hands and simple feet.
